Miami Sunrise Smoothie

Serves 4

Kids Rating: ✭✭✭

The bananas used must be very ripe, yellow with brown freckles on the skins.  

This recipe will not yield good results with yellow-green bananas.

Ingredients: 

4 ripe bananas

2 cups frozen pineapple

2 cups chilled orange juice

2 sliced oranges for garnish

Directions: 


Place all ingredients in a blender and process on ice crush or puree for 3-4 minutes until very smooth.  A frothy, light consistency is the desired texture for a breakfast smoothy, not a heavy thick milk-shake.  Serve immediately. Garnish with fresh orange slices if desired.
